 In 1996 internationally renown and admired master flutist Hubert Laws launched Scepterstein Records.
Scepterstein Records was a natural progression of Mr. Laws' musical and entertainment business development.
Scepterstein Records was organized to create and develop music in diverse musical genres with an array of domestic and international recording artists and musicians. The music reflects and gives expression to multiple musical talents and interests.
The first release by Scepterstein Records was a music journey with Hubert Laws remembering the legendary Nat King Cole. Symbolic, as it is a fundamental jazz presentation paying tribute to one of the worlds foremost and most beloved musical treasures.
Other releases on Scepterstein Records include two jazz/pop creations entitled "Secrets" and "The Key" featuring the enticing and beautiful vocal stylings of diva Eloise Laws, a live jazz recording entitled "Ronnie Laws Live" by Saxophonist extraordinaire Ronnie Laws, and "Baila Cinderella," a Latin jazz release by Hubert Laws.
The vision is clear. The goals have been set. Music that will encompass the international flavors of a universal language that speaks to all.
